Happy New Year! Let’s Talk 2025 Reading Goals and Holiday Favorites

Happy New Year everyone!

So, I accidentally abandoned this blog towards the end of 2024. Many things happened, not limited to: having surgery, a small getaway, being busy at work, and the subsequent burn-out from such a hectic year. As a result, I neglected my reading habits. But, after a break over Christmas I’m feeling quite refreshed and eager to tackle my To Be Read pile this year. The getaway to Sherwood Forest was much needed and a wonderful break though:

When you and your DnD group book a cabin in the woods to go play DnD. It was beautiful, we had such a good time. 🖤 #dnd #dndtiktok #sherwood #sherwoodforest #sherwoodpines #cabin #cabinholidays #forest #forestholidays #woods #woodland #uk #unitedkingdom #dungeonsanddragons @Forest Holidays

I’ve set a modest Goodreads reading goal of 20 books but I’m hoping to exceed it. In that vein, I’ve already managed to read three books this year (reviews coming soon). So, here’s hoping for a better reading year – and a better year overall.

What did y’all get up to over the holidays? Are there any particular books you always reread every Winter? I have an old habit of rereading A Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve. Because what’s more festive than specters terrifying wealth-hoarding old men into becoming better people?

All my best to you and yours for a great new year!
